Hope you made it through the winter in fine shape as the END is right around the corner.
The football season was a lot better than most EXPERTS predicted, IF we could have played decent ball in Oakland-Phoenix-or Cincy & even the second Steelers game we would have been in the playoffs but it wasn’t meant to be & with the schedule for the 2008 season it will be tough to win 10 games again unless we improve our DEFENSE

Also the tickets prices for the 2008 season went up in the Dawg Pound from $40 to $50 & the opposite endzone went from $40 to $45. Our bus trips will probably go up to $70 instead of $65 but it depends on the increase from Bliss Charters for the rental of their buses.

We want to thank Amy Martinez for job well done at the Xmas party for the kids as this was the 3rd year she has taken over, again thanks Amy to you & your staff.

On January 25th we did a Baked Steak fundraiser for Mason Brand who is a member of the club & who is awaiting Kidney transplant, we were able to raise a total of $2460.00. We want to thank you guys for your support on this & also Jackie Paape who did all of the leg work on getting the Raffle items for the event, the Tiffin Backers for their generous donation, also John Brubaker & his wife.We had some great help from Mario & Amy Martinez –Tom & Dean Kinney, thank you guys for job well done & of course All Day Dave Tey

Next year we will be watching the Browns in the BAR AREA of Dunn’s Lanes instead of the pow wow room, this will make it easier on the cleaning up & keeping track of the bar bill.

Our 11th annual Banquet is set for April 12th at the Moose Lodge here in town from 5:00 to 8:30 with doors opening at 4:30pm & Dinner starting at 5:30pm Tickets will be $20 adults Kids 8-12 $10 7 & under free, this will include your meal & draft beer or pop. Our special guest for the evening will be the outstanding Rookie Lineman # 73 JOE THOMAS. We are only selling 160 tickets and they go on sale March 7,2008 for 1 week then we open it up to the public, you can get your tickets by calling-marv @ 419 341 0384 –mario @ 419 618 4145- tom @ 419 619 6979, we will NOT hold any tickets for people this year so when you order tickets please be ready to mail in your check or pay in person. This will benefit Boy Scout Troop 408 as we try to send some of the boys that cannot afford to go to camp in August. During the Banquet we will selling tickets for a quarter side of beef that will be drawn during our Draft Day Party set for April 26th starting at noon in the bar area of Dunn’s Lanes. We would like to thank Tom & Cathy Kline for the donation of the beef, the Boy Scouts from Troop 408 also thank you.

April 26th will be our annual Rib Dinner during the Draft so don’t forget to place your order as we always sellout our 80 dinners & they will be $8 for a ½ slab baby back ribs baked potato corn green beans & salad and as usual this will be our donation to the Relay for life.

June 14th will be our Cookout/ Campout at Meadowbrook Park starting at 2pm in the Maple Shelter by the swimming pool & as always we will be paying for you & your kids to swim that day just pick up your tickets from us that day, we will have more on this in our June Newsletter.
